Mostly made for bedspreads and bedroom linen or cushion covers, this is an art that is practiced today by Tahitian vahines. 'Tifaifai' has been around for about the last 200 years. Often made with brightly coloured fabrics and themes include Tahitian floral motifs, such as 'uru' (or breadfruit), palm leaves, and ocean life.

Modern 'tifaifai' makers use more simpler designs to suit modern homes:
eg.

(for purchase information on tifaifai such as the designs above, EMAIL US)

LUAU PARTY PINEAPPLE PALM TREE FRUIT DISPLAY

GET THE RECIPE AND EASY INSTRUCTIONS NOW!

Have you been searching for an awesome idea for your luau theme party? It can be our little secret on how easy it was to prepare. 99% of the preparation can be done the day before the party, thus, eliminating any last-minute stress on the day of the event. Once the fruit is cut, this entire display can be assembled in under 15 minutes. The photo on the far left was recently sent to us by Chuck and Lou Tankersley of Stone Mountain, Georgia - nice job guys! This is a one-of-a-kind, eye-catching fruit display. Perfect for a graduation party, luau party, birthday party, wedding reception or any type of tropical theme event. 100% satisfaction guaranteed. <a (If you don't have polynesian music for your island party yet, click on "polynesian music" to find one today.)

Disguise your speakers with flower adornements or cover with a large tiki covering (you can do so by enlarging the tiki template found in our "My Island Party" planning ebook). This won't muffle the sounds when you use it correctly and have enough holes for the music to play through.

Here's another great way to hide your speakers or stereos: disguise with a large cardboard "pahu" (Tahitian bass drum), like a tom-tom drum, cutout with motif shape holes cut out for sound.
